Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. The service

Sortza is a subscription app operated by Sortza Limited (company number 167537, registered office: 9 Croydon Mews, Bellozanne Road, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3JY) that helps you run your service business: it stores your customers, jobs, quotes, invoices and payments, understands instructions you give it (“Tell Sortza”), prepares admin for you, and — only with your explicit approval — sends business emails and records actions on your behalf.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. You must give accurate business and contact information, as it appears on the documents Sortza prepares for you.

3. Subscription and billing

Sortza is £14.99 per month. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial; no card is required to start. If you subscribe, you do so on the web through Paddle, our payment provider, and Paddle’s payment terms apply alongside these terms. Card details are processed by Paddle and never reach Sortza. Subscriptions are currently sold on the web only — Sortza does not sell subscriptions through Apple’s or Google’s app stores. If your subscription ends, your data stays available to you, but creating and changing records requires an active plan.

4. Acceptable use

Use Sortza only for lawful business purposes. Do not use it to send unlawful, deceptive or harassing messages, to infringe others’ rights, to attempt to access other users’ data, or to disrupt the service.

5. Your business data

Your customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, payments, notes and photos are your business data. You are responsible for their accuracy and for having the right to store and contact the people and businesses you add to Sortza.

6. AI assistance and your approval

Sortza uses AI to interpret your instructions and prepare actions. This assistance is a convenience, not professional advice: quotes, invoices, totals, payment records and emails are prepared for your review. Consequential actions — sending customer emails, recording payments, completing jobs — happen only when you explicitly approve them, and you should check amounts, recipients and wording before approving. Sortza may decline or ask you to confirm instructions it cannot interpret with confidence.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Sortza available and working, but the service is provided on a best-effort basis and may occasionally be unavailable, for example during maintenance. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces what your subscription covers, we will tell you.

8. Intellectual property

You keep all rights in your business data. We own Sortza and its software, and grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use it while your account and subscription are active.

9. Termination

You can end your subscription at any time through your billing settings, and delete your account entirely in the app (Settings → “Delete my account…”). We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Sortza is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind beyond what the law requires. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for claims connected with the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example, business decisions made on the basis of documents Sortza helped you prepare, since you approve every consequential action.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands, and disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Jersey courts, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

12. Contact
