Account deletion
Sortza accounts are deleted by the account holder, inside the app, after signing in. We never delete an account based on an emailed or web-submitted request alone.
How to delete your Sortza account
In the app: Settings → “Delete my account…”
You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no undo.
Before you delete
Cancel any active subscription first
If you have an active subscription, cancel it under Settings → Billing & subscription first. Sortza will refuse account deletion while a subscription could still bill you.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases, for your business only:
your business profile · your customers · your jobs and their photo records (links and attachments) · your quotes · your invoices · your payments · your Tell Sortza command history and prepared actions · your email delivery records · your subscription record · your login account itself.
Technical email delivery logs (provider identifiers and failure diagnostics) are kept for at least 90 days and removed once the delivery record is more than 90 days old; removal happens on the next cleanup run after that point, not necessarily on the 90th day itself. The 90 days are measured from the delivery attempt recorded with the email and apply the same way to failed deliveries. If an address is unsafe to email (a bounce or a spam complaint), the minimal suppression note needed to stop further emails is kept with that delivery record — suppression data, not a permanent legal hold — and is reviewed at least once a year and deleted with your account. The visible communication history is deleted with your account.
[Pending owner confirmation] Photos added through the app live in Sortza's own private storage: deleting your account erases their records and deletes the underlying files — a file deletion that can't complete immediately is flagged and retried automatically, never abandoned. A small number of photo files created before this storage change remain on the Base44 platform's storage: deleting your account erases their records and every access route to them, but those files are held by the platform, and we don't promise their deletion here.

Use the password reset on the sign-in page. If you can no longer access your account at all, email support@sortza.co.uk for a verified recovery process — see the Support page.
Why we don't take deletion requests by email
Anonymous requests would let anyone delete anyone's account by simply knowing an email address. Deletion therefore always requires the account holder's authenticated, explicit confirmation.
